Partnership with HopeHouse OKC

CHD is proud to announce our partnership with Patrick Vorderlandwehr Homes and HopeHouse OKC, a nonprofit that helps break the cycle of poverty by providing transitional housing for people on the road to self-sufficiency and healthy living.

We'll be providing the design and construction documents for a new house that will be a part of their Resident Ownership program, which provides free or low-cost rent and utilities to residents who agree to participate in things such as life skills classes and worships, success development planning, job seeking assistance and pavement, financial planning, and community involvement. Participants not only get a place to live, but are provided with medical assistance, dental work, clothing, grocery assistance, haircuts, and auto repair/donation.

Too often in urban development the less fortunate get pushed aside or forgotten, which is why CHD is proud to participate in a program that seeks to identify and help those who need it most. Check back soon to see updates on the plans.
